Description

With this filter disc in AISI304 stainless steel specific for Braumeister BM20 you will no longer need to buy spare parts as it is not made with mesh but with micro-perforated and stretched sheet. You will no longer have the problem of fraying the weft which, in addition to considerably ugly the filter, makes it difficult to clean with the risk of even pinching your fingers.

Obtained by shearing a micro-perforated sheet therefore, obviously, the edge cannot be smooth but has tips which, however, being a single piece, do not fray with use. By zooming the image you can see the border

The filter disc with 0.9 holes is slightly smaller than the original.

The filter disk with 1.5 holes is slightly larger than the original

Almost all of them use the filtering disc with 0.9 holes, the most similar to the original, but those who have tried the 1.5 filtering disc do not change it anymore. Pump flow increases, efficiency also increases by 4 points. Very important is the correct grinding with the right amount of flour, this is learned with experience. Obviously some small pieces can escape because the holes are bigger

Filter plates large mesh

Service to the UK was outstanding and the order was delivered within 5 days. The plates themselves are more robust than the braumeister own brand ones. I have not noticed any loss of mash efficiency using the bacbrewing plates. A worthy 5 stars.

Happy Brewer

Bought these 1.5mm filter discs as a replacement for the BM original fraying discs that have damaged my brewing gloves quite some times.
I was a bit surprised to see that also these discs have edges that are a bit sharp, not even close to the original discs but still a bit of a worry for long-term use.
I tested these filter discs with Braumeister's LODO kit and a crushing setting of 1.2mm and had no problems with clarity so I am happy. Cannot say if the efficiency was better with the 1.5mm discs compared to the original discs but I have had some issues with wort fountains before with a slightly tighter milling setting and the combination of a 1.2 mm setting and these more open discs worked out fine. Overall these are a nice upgrade of the original discs.

Long-term use does not deform and does not fray the edges because it is not a mesh but a sheet of inox with many holes so it is a single piece
