Description
For those who wish, it is possible to supply the keg filler with a pressure gauge filled with glycerine.
Being a dense oil, glycerin prevents the pointer and internal mechanics from vibrating due to strong backlashes in hydraulic systems which prevent correct reading and in the long run risk ruining the internal mechanics. This happens in high pressure hydraulic systems, in the context of use of the pressure gauge in beer kegging these vibrations are not present.
Although for use in the keg the pressure gauge, whether normal or with glycerine, has no influence, BacBrewing makes this service available.
